Warrior Pages Martial Arts Society

Just wanted to say Thanks to all those who attended the conference this weekend. Also wanted to thank the instructors for sharing their knowledge. It was great to see some of my old friends and even got to meet a few people that I have met here on the Warrior Pages.

I'm looking forward to getting the DVD of the training from Tachi Price as I am having some difficulty remembering cervical lock #11 from the series - but I'm sure it will come to me when I can get a partner and work them. I've been going over them in my head since I came back.

So if you attended the training - please list the Top 3 things that you took away from the training this weekend. Don't be too specific as we want to make those who didn't make it jealous.....

For those of you who didn't make it - Too Bad - you really missed some great training.

My Top 3:

  • Tachi Price's Cervical Lock Series - great fun and the series was great to learn along with the applications
  • The Old Man method of fighting from Hanshi Abele - I still get a smile on my face thinking about that one
  • Simple Combinations of Wrist Locks and Uppercuts / Elbow strikes with Sensei Joe Pounder. Simple but elegant.

Ha - I remembered #11 this afternoon after my wife graciously allowed me to use her head. Went over some of the knife and gun techniques too!
