Biography
I studied with Master Frank Schumerhorn and Jeremy Wolfer in 1989. Then in 1990 I met Sensei Jack Davis teaching he was a guest teacher at another school in Johnson city NY. Then After awhile I found out where his personal dojo was located because it was unlisted. I started training at the Ch'ien Do Ryu Martial Institute since late 1991.In the middle of the woods on the out skirts of town. Curriculumn included Aikijutsu,Bagua Chuan, Okinwan Te, Kali, Dim mak, self defence
1999 Jack Davis closed the Aikijutsu program only to teach the dragon Palm bagua form, 2007 he closed and sold the Ch'ien Do Ryu Institute of Binghamton and Moved to Syracuse NY. Then I met and where I contacted Rev Vitold oF YESHUA DO to help me and Shihan Jim McCoy in helping me further My studies and educating me in the Aikibudo Arts: Daito ryu and Hakko ryu etc... I want to thank my Father for practicing with me and alway trying to critique my martial arts with his boxing abilities. I want to thank Sensei Tracey Sackett For Being very Inspirational and working the kali curriculmn with us, She is one of the finest instuctors that Doesn't get enough credit for the hard work. Jim Funai It has been an excellent training with you, You have a lot to offer. Jeff you have to continue in the Martial arts Bro!!!

2." After I, a man of little rank, unexpectedly took control of the province, I have put
forth great effort both day and night, at one time to gather together famous men
of all kinds, listened to what they and to say, and have continued in such a way up
to this time." Asakura Toshikage 1428 1481 A.D
3. You may know two hundred different martial arts but what is the quality of your movements? It's still just movement, it doesn't matter how many forms you know.

People with wisdom will use a tool properly, but a person with lower knowledge will recognise only one function of the tool. In the same manner, internal martial arts can be used for many functions because you use the same tool. This training method is only one tool, but it has many different uses.

You need to use one form for practice and include everything in it - mind, structure, movement and qi. If you can easily do all of these within each motion, that is the internal martial arts.

6. Anyone know a good martial art Teacher I can train with?
7. When Your Sensei closes the school and moves away, what are you left with? was it all in vain?Does those pieces of paper really mean anything?

Brian, to respond to #7. Sounds like you've been left with everything you truly need. It's only in vain if you think it is. As a "DAD", you have a lot more to pass down than you did prior to '89.

Some journeys are travelled alone; some are not.
