Good morning, I have a quick question for you. Your video of the Seiryu Kata, is this the same as the Kata Aoyagi (Blue willow being the literal translation)? I ask because the history I have located on Aoyogi indicates that it was created as a collaboration between Mabuni, Konishi and Ueshiba as well. The only difference I can see is the two upward open hand strikes/blocks prior to turning to the back and performing the two high blocks. Or is it that there is a male and female version of the kata, even though it was apparently created for females initially.
